The
Road to Emancipation
Get
a glimpse into the African-American Experience in Williamson
County on guided tours of the McLemore House, the grounds and
outbuildings of Carnton Plantation and downtown Franklin.
McLemore
House tells the story of a reconstruction era family.
Carnton
Plantation looks at slavery on a Middle Tennessee Plantation.
Downtown
Franklin gives a look at the home of many black-owned businesses,
families and churches.
Cost:
$15 for all three tours
Time: 10:00 and 11:30 a.m. 2 p.m.

Sunset Concert Series
Entering its eighth year, Carnton's Sunset Concert
Series is a Williamson County tradition!
The
concerts are a fantastic place to meet friends and family and
enjoy a relaxed Sunday afternoon listening and dancing to your
favorite tunes on the lawn at Carnton. Concert-goers also enjoy
a stroll through the 1847 garden, a walk through of the historic
house and some of the most spectacular sunsets in Williamson
County.
Bring
your own picnic or buy food on site. Water, soft drinks, beer,
wine and Jack Daniels Mint Juleps may be purchased from the Carnton
drinks tent.
