Directions from the north:

Our address is 1345 Carnton Lane, Franklin, TN, 37064. From Nashville drive south on Interstate 65 to Highway 96, or Exit 65. At that exit take a right onto Highway 96 and drive west for about three-fourths of a mile. Next take a left onto Mack Hatcher Parkway and head south. At the second traffic light, take a right onto Highway 431. Drive for about three-fourths of a mile and you will see a sign for Carnton. Take a left onto Carnton Lane, drive thru Heath Place subdivision, and take the gravel road up to the historic home.

Directions from the south:

The same as above except when exiting Interstate 65 onto Highway 96, take a left turn instead of a right.

Directions from the Carter House:

Leave the Carter House parking lot and take a right. Go to the stop sign and take a right and drive just a few hundred feet to the traffic light at Cleburne Street. You will see a sign for Carnton and the Confederate Cemetery at that intersection. Take a left, go thru the stop sign, and take a right onto Lewisburg Avenue. You will also see a sign for Carnton at that intersection. You will cross railroad tracks and go around a slight curve and at Carnton Lane take a right. Drive thru the subdivision, up the gravel road, and you’ll be at the historic house.

Directions from Downtown Franklin:

From the downtown square head along Main Street to Fifth Avenue. At that light, take an immediate left so that the Presbyterian Church will be on your left. Go thru the stop sign and just after that Fifth Avenue will curve to the right and become Lewisburg Avenue. Follow that road as it winds to the left and you will soon cross railroad tracks. Just past the tracks and around another slight curve to the right is Carnton Lane. Take a right onto Carnton Lane, go thru the subdivision, and take the gravel road up to the historic house.
